The Dawal collective
Both a place to live and a ground for collective experimentation, the project is built around four main pillars.
Here they are:
-
A commitment to social solidarity: A horizontal, self-managed organization that promotes inclusion, mutual aid, and active support at the local level.
-
A caring approach to local flora and fauna: An intimate relationship with living nature, reflected in respect for local biodiversity and working the land (market gardening, vegetable patch, orchard).
-
Pragmatic eco-responsibility: Pursuing low-tech sobriety and self-sufficiency through, among other things, reuse, rainwater harvesting, solar power, and conscious adaptation to climate challenges.
-
A space for encounters and exchange: A warm, welcoming venue open to all, dedicated to skill-sharing, artistic creation (especially music), and simple, convivial moments.
In short, Dawal is trying to create an offbeat way of life where people learn to build, live, and preserve together.
